CG Animator

This was a fun christmas commercial for carphone warehouse that I supervised the animation on. It was another one directed by Eric Learner at Partizan Lab. Great fun and top team. Think you can find it over here...

It was mayhem in the carphone warehouse with this commercial we did at Partizan. I worked on helping to supervise the animation under the director Eric Learner,a talented bloke and great fun to work for. Good old youTube, it's here.

Worked on the new X-men film over at Pinewood. Great place to work. It's got such a history. I was back doing Previz again, good stuff!

Did a job on this Jonathon Glazer commercial for Sony Bravia 3d tv's as part of Nvizible. They filmed this bodybuilder guy for a couple of shots and wanted to make him grow bigger as he tensed. We had to create a CG body and project the plate back onto it. I animated the CG version to match the live plates ( from both cameras, as it was filmed with stereoscopic). Luckily, I had the help of some good compositors who did a great job of stabalising the plates. I think the ad can still be found here...

These were a couple of movies I worked on. I was working for Nvizage as part of the previz team. It generally involved lots of camera work and character anim so that vfx supe, DoP and Director could get an idea of how the sequences could be filmed. I enjoyed previz as a break from production animation. It's got a great, creative 'sketch book' feel and you learn hell of a lot about how a movie is shot.

Don't ask. This was a commercial I did at Glassworks for the States. It was an ad for a bladder control med, hence all the plumbing :) Glassworks is a cool place to work, real nice people.

This weightwatchers ad marked my first animation job over at Partizan Lab. What a cool place to work. Real friendly bunch and it felt much more like a creative, animation 'studio' than a facilities house.

There's some very strange and fruity things going on in this Orangina ad. This was another commercial I did over at The Mill. I worked doing the animation with a few other guys. Although originally it was a mix of mocap and key-framed animation, we ended up having to delete lots of the mocap so that the animation could be changed to fit in with the directors vision. The compression's not good but I think you can still see it here...

This is an Airwick commercial that I worked on back at Golden Square Post Production. It was a fun project. Myself and another guy ended up doing all the animation. I also got my hands dirty doing the Skunks. Well their fur and animation, anway. You might still be able to catch it here...

This was a Sony commercial I worked on at The Mill. Did a fair bit of animation for it. There was quite a few edits that got put out, one of which lives over here...

This was a commercial I did at Golden Square Post Production for the Royal Bank Of Canada. Nice to see some banks have still got some money to spend. There was a lot of work to do on this, it was lucky we had a good team. I ended up using my fine modelling skills aswell as doing a whole bunch of animation.

You can see the whole thing here...

This was quite a nice looking commercial I did at Therapy Films. I was the only 3d bod on it so ended up doing all the 3d elements and animation. It was for the Samaritans, so it made up for some of those years I worked in games encouraging people to stay in, be unsociable and eat lots of pizza.

This is a one of the shots I animated for the BBC on a comedy show they ran called The Wrong Door. You can probably catch it on BBC3... again and again and again and again...

This was a commercial I worked on at Therapy Films for the EA My Sims Kingdom game. I did a bit of the animation for it. If you really feel the need to see it, you can find it here...
